Sumanta Banerjee

Mr. Sumanta Banerjee born in 1953 in Samastipur, Bihar, India. Though by profession a qualified Chartered Accountant, from India, working as a CFO in a prestigious Kimoha Entrepreneurs FZCO, Jebel Ali, Dubai for the last 14 years but in heart he is a very creative person with soft expression of emotions that we have through his pen.

The passion for creative literature is in built from his childhood and has been pursuing the same since then. He enjoyed the association with many great writers from Bengal including Gyanpith awardee,the highest award in literature in India, late Smt Ashapurna Devi and late Sri  Bibhuti Bhusan Mukhopadhyay

Though not restricted to any particular form of writing as he has been writing regularly for Gulf News on various topics related to human aspects apart from writing travelogues, poetry, essays on various aspects of our daily life, short stories, poetry and poetry translation’s in Bangla from other languages like Arabic in particular, in various papers and magazines published from India mainly in Bangla from the city of Joy “Kolkata”, India.

Of late Sumanta Banerjee found his expression more appealing in travelogue writing as he loves to travel, meet people, see nature and learn different cultures across the globe. 30th December 2019 his first travelogue in Bangla named “EGAROTI DESHER BAROTI GOLPO” (11 countries 12 stories) was launched in a grand scale in Kolkata, India. The English version of the same book is expected to be released by June 2020. This apart also a collection of his published articles on essays on various aspects of our daily life will be published during 2020.

Sumanta Banerjee has translated so far 12 Arabic poetries of the renowned poet of Arab world Dr. Shiab Ghanem in Bangla which is also expected to be released during 2020.

He loves nature, he loves music, he loves painting, he loves sports, he loves literature finally he loves human being.
