How About Something Like This?/তেমন কিছু লিখলে কেমন হয়?
In an enchanting cold evening
While shipping hot soup
In an Armenian restaurant,
my soul filled with joy & thoughts
How about writing something like this?
Like how? The lady surprised me by saying you look just like an Iranian or may be an Afghani
Not at all look like an Indian
Not even in your accent of conversation.
The moment I took my seat in the restaurant
the beautiful lady waitress came and
made me comfortable by saying
local cousins are also good you can try
and I also unknowingly ate those very happily.
I never knew before
a museum of genocide is also possible
when I almost lost my ways
while passing through all the adjectives
of the limitless human atrocities
in the corridors of not one not two
but fifty in the genocide museum.
By god’s grace the human race
had already learnt the art of
standing up again after a fall
they also learnt how to breath, I thought of
how about writing something like this.
When the severe cold of white snow
Crippling me in their arms
and I sang alas this road never ends
While walking on a silent road
and the priest of a church
with no human beings around
suddenly shouts Ravishankar, Bismillah, Amjad
I love your universal language
I uttered in my heart
music you live long always, everywhere.
In fact the mind is not able to
put down its feet in the right place
and hence keep on thinking repeatedly
How about writing something like this?
