Canopies Infinite
Fields of green, sunkissed
Oceans sapphire, where god’s breath echoes
With Mother Nature I once had a tryst
And she divulged to me all her woes
She has seen eternities boundless
But could never have prophesied the current ecological crisis
Forests verdant, rivers of splendor
Now fear a daunting future
She herself fears for the generations ahead
She sees darkness she sees red
Thus she proposed to me for the sake of posterity
The noble thought of sustainability
The mountains narrate ancient tales
And they command we let life prevail
Reduce, reuse, and recycle more
Let us cherish our planet like never before
Let us respect the wilderness
Canopies infinite and the birds so free
With a change of heart and a prudent conscience
Let us embrace Mother Earth’s serenity
Keeping in mind our mortal legacy
We shall realize this wisely;
That this realm is not ours to set free
It simply revels in its sovereign regality
