The river is still but the water flows on,

The stars are still but their light glows on, Moments maybe still but the time goes on,

The world maybe still but the Life goes on..

Yes this is how my world looks right now,

Yes it looks a bit small somehow,

This is where the flowers of my heart bloom,

Wanna see ? Then Fly to my room,

Sometimes loneliness makes dull,

Sometimes the answer seems to be null,

It’s fine sometimes if it’s not going in your way,

Just find the rainbow when the sky seems Blue & Grey,

Feels like life has become a skit,

Each one of us are the characters here,

Let us make sure to make it a hit,

Let us take it on full gear,

We feel the same in different way,

In our hearts we all have goodness and empathy, There’s something common no matter how far away, Our strength is Telepathy…

The world has fought many battles,

Our warriors went through it all with ease, It’s time we become a warrior as well, And win over this dis-ease…

We share the strongest bond,

Over each other we are proudly fond,

We have been together in happiness and dismay,

Till eternity we all promise to Stay…

About The Poet

Firdos Fathima is studying in class 9 of St. Joseph’s school (Abu Dhabi). Shee was born in Abu Dhabi and enjoys Writing . She  expresses her  feelings and tries  to relate to people through her writings. It can be quotes, poems or diary entries. The  biggest inspirations are her parents who support her unconditionally. They are the ones who guide her through all the circumstances.

She  was inspired to write about this poem through BTS (boy-band); their lyrics are powerful enough to calm us during this pandemic and motivate us. She  feels that Life goes on is a motto that everyone should apply in their lives and just keep moving forward without regretting about anything from the past instead learn from it and move on.
