The Resurrection Of Humanity
An internal battle within me goes on for decades
Scared to voice out, open up, or even complain
Being different for some reason isn’t okay
For society I continue to be a bane
Hope fades and so does the thought to live on
Being treated differently hurts from within
Feels like I no longer fit in
Scars so deep even time can’t heal
Pushed around and beaten up
Picked up just to be thrown again
Bullied day in and day out
My voice shackled inside my head
What kind of a race are we to harm ourselves?
Worse than animals easily can be said
Suicide rates a number destined to fall
Only if we stand united once and for all.
Within unity lies a force
Where ‘I’ surrenders to ‘we’ something which can restore humanity
A strength which resurrects hope
A friendly hand lent to ease the pain
A belief, a faith, an incentive to carry on living
The reason I choose to live, is because I still believe humanity exists…
