Dr. Akash Keiji Ouchi is an Indian national hailing from Japan. Since 1975, he has been a part of the Indian community. He did his Bachelor of Architecture from Musashi Institute of Technology, Japan, and completed Master of Rural and Urban Planning from Roorkee University, UP. Later in 1982 he did his PhD from Jawaharl Lal Nehru University, New Delhi.

He is the South Asia representative of Soka Gakkai International and is engaged in the cultural and educational exchange between Japan and India. He is vice-chairperson of Bharat Soka Gakkai and is promoting Gandhian values through the method of “Human Revolution”.

Dr. Daisaku Ikeda is represented by Dr.Akash Keiji Ouchi in the UAE during the events. Dr. Ouchi narrates Dr. Ikeda poems during the Poetic Heart events being held in the UAE since 2012.
