Flood that sweeps 

that curves that strip 

from side to side 

that sinks that jumps. 

Wave that takes 

that swoops and spreads 

that pours that blends 

that spills that 

dissipates wraps connects. 

Till 

it breaks and lies 

hidden its presence 

cancelled. And underneath 

the impact of the uprooted 

avalanche it seems extirpated 

from its stratum.

Piena che porta 

che piega che smonta 

da sponda a sponda 

che cala che salta. 

Onda che prende 

che piomba e dilaga 

che versa che fonde 

che spande che 

dissipa avvolge 

congiunge.

Finché 

si infranga e giaccia 

occulta la presenza 

cancellata. E sotto 

l’urto della valanga 

divelta risulta sradicata 

dalla sua falda.
