New leaves don’t make spring
There is spring even in a mild smile!!

While sinking in the swamp of poverty
if you see a ray of hope
Evenin the tears of those shining eyes
Sometimes it’s spring!!

In the yellow of withered faces
In the slow trembling of dry lips
At the sound of someone’s voice
Sometimes it’s spring!!

Deep in the memories of life
in the shadows of old age
If a dream awakens sweet memories
Even in that moment there is spring!!

Old age drooping shoulders
helpless obligate eyes
by giving support of sticks to the legs not falling straight
If someone extends his hand then it is spring!!

To the desolation of an empty life
when someone own understands
Caress their hands with own hands
There is spring even in that warmth!!

नए नए पत्तों के आने से ही वसंत नहीं होता है
एक भीनी सी मुस्काहट में भी वसंत होता है !!

गरीबी के दलदल में पिसते धँसते
आशा की एक किरण दिखाई दे जाए तो
उन चमकती आँखों के अश्रुकणों में भी
कभी कभी वसंत होता है !!

सूखे मुरझाए चेहरों के पीले रंग में
सूखे ओठों के धीमे कंपन में
किसी अपने की आहट के आभास से ही
कभी कभी वसंत होता है !!

जीवन की गहराई यादों में
बढ़ती उम्रों के सायों में
कोई सपना बन मीठी याद जगाए तो
उस पल में भी वसंत होता है !!

ढलती आयु झुकते कंधे
बेबस लाचार निरखती आँखें
तिरछे पड़ते पैरों  को लाठी देकर
कोई अपना हाथ बढ़ाए तो वसंत होता है !!

सूनी जिंदगी के सूनेपन को
जब कोई अपना समझ पाए तो
अपने हाथों से उनके हाथों को सहलाए तो
उस गरमाहट में भी वसंत होता है !!
