From Shattered Deceptions A Dream Rekindled

Why does humanity fail to coexist?
As if peace and harmony are values to resist,
Our minds see in nothing but black and white,
Our hearts hold the ashes of a fire that was once alight.

We can’t stand conversations under morning skies, So the ghosts taunt the night with enigmatic lullabies, Our face is plastered with the fakest of smiles,
When in truth, our tears can cascade for miles.

The beauty of the sun and moon now ceases to be,
For the moon’s darkness is clothed in secrets that the sun’s light cannot see, And even though yin and yang have been through disputes too many,
One similarity is that they’re both terribly heavy.

BUT, what if we had hope?
Hope…. like a soulful song without the words, Or a subtle cry that is waiting to be heard,

A hopeful mind sees the world in vibrancy,
From ashes our hearts can spark a whole new dynasty. Morning tints can be embraced,
Waltz with the ghosts at night, there is no haste!

Maybe our countenance is a distortion
Smile through tears, relish the exhilaration!
And at the end, the sun and moon are in synchrony,
For amid sun rays, doesn’t the starlight shine heavenly?

Yes, yin and yang may sometimes be wrapped in altercation,
But eventually they twirl in zealous equation.
So what if we live in bewildering imbalance like it’s chaotic bliss? Delight in coexistence and wholeheartedly exist

And if after all, we surrender to a benevolence that is impossible to defy, I hope you’d remember that happy ever after isn’t a lie.
