To Build A Bridge

To build a bridge is an arduous job
To start, you’ll need some rope off the cob
You’ll need a pint of bravery, a laugh and a grin,
To get you started so you can begin
Strengthened by trust, longer than vines
A gust of courage to pass by the pines
Then the planks, made of dedication you see
Commitment, and more, to set them free
Set them in with knots of promise
It looks done, but there’s something amiss
To set it in, you need experience
Something that needs a bit of ebullience
And all of a sudden, it covers the gap,
With blood and tears, marked on the map.
It’s made of wood, it shook and it creaked,
But it stays like metal – solid, complete.
It may shake, or move or even may rumble
But as long as you trust, it will not crumble.
Can this progress? Without hard work?
Determination is must to stay out of the murk
As long as you try, continue, persist
A bridge will hold up right through the mist.
