Tomorrow

Today was filled with anger,
and hate that made pure hearts shatter.
Vexation and irritation,
assisted with devastation.
Yesterday was melancholic,
depression that makes you sick.
A swarm of pensive sadness,
and terror at its very best.
If dwelling in the past is foolish,
and thy mistakes should be abolished,
if these days made us sad and angry,
will the other days be happy?
If the past and present shall go,
what’s the purpose of tomorrow?
To remind us of thy sorrow?
Or to tell us to let go?

Tomorrow then shines in the horizon,
shining bright like one’s ambition.
It then finally struck me,
what a nice day tomorrow will be.
To those who have deeply fallen
through cracks where joy is forgotten.
Aspire and smile with no end,
keep climbing as much as you can.
For when you see the angelic light,
you know the path you’ve taken is right.

No more anger and melancholy,
for tomorrow’s a new day

for you and me.

About The Poet

Gabriel’s inspiration for writing are his personal experiences, and to him, poetry is not only a form of literature structured with versus or stanzas, but also an instrument to express the observations of their surroundings, as well as their emotions and ideas.
