Peacefully Mine To Be

I was born with no wings, no feathers, but just a soul,

Into thine path, oh dear life, of thorns and roses both,

I walk, no, crawl, even after becoming of age,

I sneer and I scowl, really menaced with the downs of rage,

Then I break, like mere glass, piece by piece, alas,

I fall down on depths, slowly but fast, upon thine grass,

I rise, I see, oh! at what a beautiful degree,

I turn and I walk because, is not it, merely debris,

The rays are strong and lasting, still,

But the moonlight falls and the never ending hills,

I pray through night, through dawn, dusk and morning,

I plead for hope, for peace, love and peace again,

Am I not, a reflection, a hue indifferent of your own,

Am I not, little but big, small, stout but tall,

I am all of human, all flesh, all bones, of blood,

But still, is it not the main difference, then what is,

You say, there is no true running green hills,

You say, there is no true blue waters, but clean and sweet,

You say, there is no true happiness, as there are troubles,

If you say so many things, is the unintervened all ugly,

If life is so different from what really glitters,

Then is not peace still hidden under tons of litters,

Should not I dig more into myself and you yourself,

Who else is it to blame, are not we the ones scattered,

The rays are strong and lasting, still,

But the moonlight falls and the never ending hills,

I pray through night, through dawn, dusk and morning,

I plead for hope, for peace, love and peace again,

I was wrong once, twice, thrice and again at fault,

I am human, but never stopped from dreams,

Dreams of peace, of peace alone lights every night,

After all, do we need a sun to fire light.
