A Touch Of Harmony
My head is spinning
My lungs are burning
Our world is drowning
Our time is ticking
Possessions are prized
As a yardstick of success
Adulating those with plenty
Berating those with less
Perhaps this is a folly
What sets us apart
Is not what we own
But we give to those
Who look different
Who eat different
Who dress different
Who think different
Just a touch of harmony
A river through my skin
I feel it like the swelling sea
Cascading down from my soul
A thrusting waterfall
My spirit drinks it in
It breaks the brittle cynic wall
It surges to console
It lets the battered soul rejoice
Like stars in the sky.
About The Poet
Parv Bhadra represents GEMS Modern Academy in the The Poetic Heart 2020. He is a budding poet and mathematician and represented U.A.E. under 15 national table tennis team. Passionate about social entrepreneurship and innovation, Parv recently represented the U.A.E. at the Global Change conference in Rome.
