Laxmi Shanker Bajpai

Laxmi Shanker Bajpai, is an Indian who is a prominent poet of Hindi Ghazal Movement.  He has represented as the only Indian poet in the World Poetry Festival in Venezuela. He has been invited for  poetry reading by ‘Bharatiya Jnanpith’, Sahitya  Akademy,  National  Book Trust,  SAARC Writers’  Conference,  and the French  Poetry  Festival  in India. His poems have been published in many reputed national and International literary magazines. The poems have been translated in Japanese, English, Italian, Tamil, Dogri, Assamese, Punjabi and numerous other languages.

He has participated in various poetry reading events across 15 cities of U.K.(2010), Antarrashtriya Vaataayan Kavita Samman’ in London and an exclusive evening  of  poetry  ‘Rashtrabhasha Gaurav  Samman’  by  Sansdiya  Hindi  Parishad  in Central Hall of Parliament.

He has been Awarded by Delhi Hindi Academy and Dalit Sahitya Academy, Udbav  Shikhar  Samman and many others. He is also the author of  more than  a  dozen  Text-Book  units  on  Broadcasting for Graduate & P.G. courses  of  IGNOU.  He has been associated with 6-7 Universities as a guest faculty, Examiner, Paper-Setter etc. for Media studies. He has done the scripting and anchoring of many documentaries for Doordarshan (India). He has also been the narrator in various T.V. serials. He has been involved in scripting of many radio documentaries & radio serials and anchoring of many radio programs on national (Indian) network. He has also interviewed many renowned personalities for national network of All India Radio.

He has been conferred with various awards such as Bhartendu, Harishchandra  Samman  which was conferred  by  Publication  Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting,  Kusumanjali  Sahitya Samman & have the honor of ABU  Jury Member for Radio Pre – Selection (ABU Prizes 2014). He has also visited Moscow as Govt. of India’s Nominee (EA Ministry) to participate in the Regional Hindi Conference.
